Ten years pale in fearful red
Concentrate to one sharp dark
Sever stretch of past and ghost
Future into shard and want

You feared for your life
I feared for mine
But a different kind

-

Teeth gleam black in laugh
Forest edge red with frost
All that is placed before
the One Task is lost

You feared for your life
I feared for mine
But a different kind

-

Dark-miracled healing
Wanting dustly success
Suffer Love of the Spirit
Only then to forget

You feared for your life
And I feared for mine
But a different kind

-

When pure Light upons you
Then storms underneath
My hands tremble in distance
Despite gnashing of teeth

Does His hand then withdraw
Or remain?

You feared for your life
I half-took back mine

So you gave yours to Him

And continue to give

I am grateful
